Ingredients (serves 1)

• 1 ripe banana (sliced)
• 60 g of porridge oats
• 2 tablespoons of walnuts
• 200 ml of milk
• 75 ml of water
• 1 pinch of salt
• 1½ tablespoons of maple syrup
• ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
• 1/8 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
• ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
• Raisins for garnishing
• Honey for garnishing

Utensils:
small frying pan, wooden spoon, small pot, chopping board, knife

Banana Bread Porridge Bowl

Small frying pan, wooden spoon, small pot
2 tablespoons of walnuts / 0.5 ripe banana

Toast the walnuts. Place to one side. Place the half banana in a small pot and mash roughly using a wooden spoon.

200 ml of milk / 75 ml of water / 1 pinch of salt / 1.5 tablespoons of maple syrup / 0.5 teaspoon of ground cinnamon / 0.125 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
2. Add the milk, water, a pinch of salt, maple syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg and simmer over a medium heat.

60 g of porridge oats
3. Stir in the porridge oats and simmer for around 1 to 2 minutes. Keep stirring constantly.

0.5 teaspoon of vanilla extract
4. Remove the porridge from the hob, stir in the vanilla extract and place in a serving bowl.

Chopping board, knife
0.5 ripe banana / Raisins for garnishing / Honey for garnishing

5. Cut the rest of the banana into slices and sprinkle the toasted walnuts and raisins on top of the porridge. Drizzle some honey over the top before serving if you wish.
